How to Activate the WinTV-NVR 905
Log in using your Internet Service Provider (ISP) username and password.
If your ISP allows more than one computer to be connected to the Internet at a time, you must enter the ISP username and password for your computer.
The Order Number for the WinTV-NVR 905 will appear on the screen. The Order Number is located on the back panel of the device, as well as on the end of the instruction manual that came with the product.
Enter the 7-digit Order Number. If you do not know the Order Number, you can check by looking for the Order Number in the instruction manual you received with your product. If you have lost this instruction manual, you will be able to find it at the bottom of the Help menu when you press Help. The Order Number will also be located on a sticker on the back of the device.
Enter the correct Device Password to activate the WinTV-NVR 905.
If the Device Password is longer than eight characters, enter the last eight characters of the password.
Enter the correct Activation Code for the WinTV-NVR 905 to activate the device.
If your ISP password was the same as the WinTV-NVR 905 Activation Code, you do not need to enter the WinTV-NVR 905 Activation Code.
When you have entered all of the required information, click OK. The screen will then refresh and the WinTV-NVR 905 will be activated.
Click Finish to complete the activation process and go to the Front Screen.
Note: You will have the option to “Set-Up” the WinTV-NVR 905 during the initial menu.

Open the Setup Menu by pressing the F1 button on your remote control. The Setup Menu will appear on the screen.
Press the 2 keys on your remote to go to the previous menu and press the F3 button on the remote to return to the main Setup Menu.
The Setup Menu will display the “Help” menu.
Press F1 to open the “Help” menu.
Press the 2 keys on the remote to select the Help option and press the OK button to open the Help menu.
